I just made some amazing Turkey Chili with PUMPKIN! I posted the recipe on my food blog at saltycocoa.com! I also tell you how to make it vegetarian! It is soooo good, and you can't taste the pumpkin the way you might think!

Do you know of any sites with more chili recipes slanted toward crockpots? I like your recipes, but they're hard to translate to the crockpot. rnrnThanks,rnGregrnrnPS. Happy Thanksgiving

I have a question that I hope you all can help with. I have what I think is a pretty good chili recipie. The problem is I usually make it in a small batch and I have been asked to make it for a chili cook off where I have to increase the recipie by 20 times. I am worried will the sauce thicken as much in this large of a pot or will it end up like soup not chili.
September 10, 2009 Tanglewood Chii Cook Off
Tanglewood is only a week away, everybody in the Greensboro, NC area should try to attend, it is always a good time and a chance to taste a lot of chili. I will be there all day, hope to see some old friends there. Good luck to everyone cooking.
I have had a some requests for my hot sauces so I have reopened my store. Right now I have just hot sauces but will be adding more. When the weather cools down we will bring back the Fudge, always a good seller, but it does not ship very good in hot weather.
I have posted the upcoming CASI chili cook offs for NC, some dates are not set but will be updated as I get the dates. This is the 2009 - 2010 cook off year. Anyone who wants more information on any of them please contact me and I will send you everything I know. Plan to attend and taste some of the best chili in NC.
I have added 25 pictures of the Kernersville Cook Off held this spring. I think there was over 300 people that came out to taste some of the best chili made. We all had a good time and looking forward to next years event.
I plan on listing upcoming Chili Cook Offs in the North Carolina area with as much information as I can with cotact information. If you have a cook off in your area that you would like to see on my site please send me the link to a flyer about it or the information you would like to see posted. Send to Bob . If you have never been to a chili cook off you need to go, it is a good time and you can taste some of the best chili and visit with the cooks that made it, maybe some will share the "secret" to Award Winning Chili. Check out my pictures of past cook offs, and I will be adding more pictures. And any event you would like on my event calander just go to Event Calender and submit your information.
Chili Cooks had a few "bugs" that I did not know about and I have lost about 6 months of updates. At first I was upset, but now look at as a good thing. Because now I am going to try some new things and make some changes I have been thinking about, so hopefuly we will have a better site. Please keep checking back and send me any comments you have.
